Stone Park at Pike Road was developed in 2005 by  Alabama native Steven Corbett.

Unfortunately, after Mr. Corbett acquired the land to begin development of Stone Park the 2006-2007 recession occurred.  

Coupled with the recession, was the new concept of living in an area beyond the normal eastern boundaries of Montgomery County.  Thus, a recession, no buyers and a new development several miles from Montgomery's eastern growth corridor required Mr. Corbett to rethink his approach to success.  Faced with looming debt and a market that had come to a grinding halt, Mr. Corbett faced uncertainty for Stone Park's future.  

Mr. Corbett was resilient, while other developers were handing the keys back to the bank, Mr. Corbett forged ahead.  Mr. Corbett approached his lender telling them, "I can't sell vacant lots, but I can sell houses".  After several hours of convincing his lender extended funds for Mr. Corbett to begin construction on his vacant lots. 

Through determination and an unwillingness not to go back on his commitment, Mr. Corbett persevered.  As a result, Stone Park at Pike Road is a one of the most desired communities in Pike Road, Alabama today. 

Stone Park is located in the Town of Pike Road, Alabama.  The Town of Pike Road, Alabama is a rural community incorporated in 1997 by a group of individuals determined to preserve the essence of their small municipality. 

Stone Park at Pike Road is comprised of two hundred seventy-five (275) developed parcels.  Of the two hundred seventy-five (275) parcels, currently (October 2017) two hundred and fifty-nine (259) are developed with residential homes and growing.  Also located in the Stone Park community are forty-two (42) townhouse-style units known as The Villas owned and managed by Jim Mathews Builders.  

Stone Park residents are zoned for the new Pike Road School System.
